The Boom Of Technology Trade Shows

Do you actively use technology? Your answer is probably yes. And if it is, you are part of a huge group. According to the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, which promotes trade shows, people who actively use technology go from 7 to 57 years (with some exceptions). This includes Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z.

While the oldest generation has embraced tech, we can see how kids are learning at a very young age how to navigate on cell phones and tablets. So it is normal that we think of technology as part of our daily lives. We are becoming more innovative and inclined to tech.

It is undeniable the boom technology has had over these recent years and how it is essential to our lives. It is because of this entanglement between people and tech that technology events are becoming more popular. To improve everyday tasks with new technology or even create something that will change the way we live nowadays. We are all interested in that, and so is the industry.

The Boom Of Trade Shows

Do you know what a trade show is? A trade show is an expo. This means some exhibitions or expositions will allow businesses to gather in the same location to display their services and goods.

There are different types of exhibitions, that will essentially fall into these three groups: consumer trade shows, industry trade shows, and trade shows, that appeal to both industries and consumers. Healthcare Industry Trade Show is one type of exposition, for example.

Knowing the theme and the audience of your trade show is extremely important. This will help you focus the technology and the marketing on your target audience. With a boom in the trade show area, it is important to unite good marketing and good technology proposition.

Manufacturing Trade Show

Similar to Technology Industry, manufacturing has its commercial sector. Show attendees can view recent developments in the manufacturing field. Manufacturing is a constantly evolving industry. This includes the development of innovative processes and materials for environmentally friendly buildings, the green constructions, which is a booming market.

The Duluth Energy Design Conference & Expo is a very good example of a trade show specializing in renewable energy that is on the rise right now. With many breaks and receptions, this conference provides attendees with lots of opportunities for networking with peers and customers.

Technology Industry Trade Show

Entrepreneurs, innovators, CEOs, and consumers from all over the world are drawn to technology expos to learn about the latest developments in the fields of electronics, robotics, computers, and other technologies.

Many shows are not open to the public but focus on the industry. That’s the case with the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the largest electronics expo in the US.

CES

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) hosts CES, every year. The event, which usually happens in January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Winchester, Nevada, features demonstrations of new consumer electronics items and technologies.

It all started with the Chicago Music Show. The event was also used to exhibit electronics. But then in 1967, it created a spinoff, the first CES. The show was hosted in New York and had 17,500 attendees and over 100 exhibitors. It was a boom. From this year until 1994, the event happened twice a year, having its main show in Las Vegas and its summer edition in Chicago. After that, the summer event started to lose its popularity until, in the end, only the winter edition was left.

CES 2023

This year’s event is happening from January 5th to January 8th in Las Vegas. There will be over 2,000 exhibitors, and more than 158 countries represented. 41 types of technology categories are being covered. According to their website, this edition will focus on “how innovation is addressing global challenges”.

The event has partnerships with many hotels so you can guarantee your stay when registering. Also, be aware that the city will be crowded as the event is happening. Make sure you plan your stay and your transportation.

The Boom of Technology Amongst Kids

There will be in this month, from the 5th to the 11th, in Washington D.C., Computer Science Education Week, CSEd Week. The focus here is to stimulate youngsters to enter the technology world as soon as possible.

This week is an opportunity to inspire and call to action for K-12 students. This year’s editions will highlight computer science education’s progress during the last decade. According to their website: “The intent is CSEdWeek will be celebrated each year during the week of Grace Hopper’s birthday (December 9, 1906), who invented the first compiler and coined the term “bug” (an error in a program) after removing an actual moth from the computer in 1947.”

This event started in 2009 after Professor Joel Adams alerted the decline of enrollment in computer science studies. The Congressmen Ehlers then presented the resolution that would later enable the event. Many associations and companies participated in the process of making this event come true. The National Science Foundation (NSF), the Anita Borg Institute (ABI), the Computing Research Association (CRA), Google, Inc., Intel, and Microsoft are a few of these essential names that took part in making this event happen.
