Exciting Vegas Attractions for Kids

Sin City has a surprising number of entertainment options geared towards families. Common kid-friendly attractions include thrill rides, museums, virtual reality, and more. The bright lights and neon-bright hotels are also very eye-candy for kids (and adults).

From educational museums to adrenaline-fuelled adventures, there’s plenty to keep the children entertained. The Strip can be a fantastic place for a family vacation that warrants a stay that is longer than a weekend. When you have your kids in Las Vegas, don’t forget to check this list!

Area 15

It’s hard to describe the Area 15 experience, but to put it into simple words, it’s a futuristic shopping center. It is one of the newer attractions in Las Vegas, opened on September 17, 2020. Like the real Area 51, the exterior of Area 15 gives a lot of mystery with its bunker-style exterior. Inside, visitors will find a handful of retail stores as well as an ice cream shop and food court.

Area 15 is a family attraction, but it is also a playground for adults. As you enter, you come into a large open space where there are different museums, interactive exhibits, and shops. Think of it as a mall of experiences: it is an event complex that offers live performances, mesmerizing art installations, remarkable design elements, distinctive retail, creative technology, bars, and much more.

Area 15 Las Vegas has so many options inside that you can easily get lost in for hours. You and your kids will find yourselves so intrigued that I am sure you’ll easily lose track of time. And it is going to be worth it!

Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

White tigers, lions, leopards, and panthers in Las Vegas? Yes, that’s right! Watch them – plus the Dolphin Habitat – at the Las Vegas’ Secret Garden at the Mirage. And here is an interesting fact: some of the animal inhabitants were born right in The Mirage hotel, including a male leopard, a tiger, and one of the dolphins.

It surely is a tropical oasis in the middle of the Nevada desert and it first opened its doors to the public in 1990. This daytime activity is perfect for the whole family! Have fun with your children seeing beloved white tigers and lions, leopards and panthers. See dolphins swimming, fishing and playing in an underwater viewing area and learn fun facts about the animals from educational posters. It is truly a must!

Container Park

Looking for a breather from the night way of living? Container Park is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. The Downtown Container Park is a family-friendly outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment attraction.

The grand opening was held in December 2013 and it houses 39 stores and services, ranging from eateries to independent shops and entertainment venues as well as a playground area. The goal is to be a place for people to rest and get away from the madness of the Las Vegas Strip.

Made completely of shipping containers stacked upon each other, this place is somewhere you can easily spend the entire day. Either shopping, dining, visiting art galleries, catching a concert on the outdoor stage, or just relaxing in the outdoor courtyard. The place even got a park for the kids to have fun and give their parents a little rest in Las Vegas.

The best part is they have activities for the whole day! During the day, you will find a super family-friendly space. The playground among the trees is the main attraction of the park. It is an incredible opportunity for anyone who needs daytime freshness. At night, the crowd is mostly adults who are looking for more than casinos and nights out. It’s an unmissable tour!

Planning a Trip with Kids

It is important to get out of the routine with those we love and live with, remembering that everything is possible when you are together, especially having fun, but we all know that traveling with children needs organization.

Traveling with kids, especially younger ones, requires some extra care, but it is possible to organize all the necessary details in advance.

A super positive point is that traveling with children strengthens family life, bonds the relationship between parents and children, and brings memories for a lifetime. So, this moment deserves to be thought of and planned with great affection.

We have prepared a list of important recommendations to make this moment of family togetherness unforgettable and more organized. Let’s check it out!

Where Are We Going To?

The choice of destination depends on the age of your children. Since babies require more care, the ideal is to think of a city where you can have the infrastructure to take them. Vegas hotels have great facilities for babies, toddlers and children.

For everyone to have fun, the ideal is to analyze the desires and excitement of the destinations. Depending on the availability, an itinerary of activities can be stimulating. This way, it is easier for everyone to find their favorite activities among the options.

Packing

It is interesting to involve your child in packing so that they learn the notion of importance when making the necessary choices. The secret is to know the place of travel and your child well. Check the average temperature, the activities you are going to do there and if you will have access to some facilities, such as washing clothes. In Vegas, the hotels are very well-prepared to receive you and your family so I am sure you won’t have this kind of problem!

Tip: have a medicine bag! Little ones can have headaches or stomachaches while traveling. Having the medicines that you are used to offering close by makes it much easier to provide care at these times!

Getting to Know the Place

We know that walking around with children is not always the easiest task. So, here are a few tips: take some cookies and water for them, bring a stroller, especially for the little ones, and pay attention to the child’s rhythm so that they can enjoy themselves.
